Plane talk changed my musical life. I "see" and "hear" music through my
guitar and across the fretboard so much differently now. You have opened a
world of complex melodies and of course much greater confidence in my
playing with PT.
If the Slide book does half as much eye opening I'll be delighted. A few of
my friends were so impressed with my playing after PT that they too bought
PT.
I have an idea for a "T" shirt that maybe you might consider offering for
sale on your website. I know I want to acknowledge your influence on my
playing and I am sure so many other guitar players you have touched will
want to also.
I'm having one mocked up for me, please find a copy of the artwork attached.
Who knows, maybe you'll start a whole line of shirts, T's , Women's
shirts, jewelry, maybe even soft gig bags! with this CHOPS "idea".
I would just like to see you run with it, no interest on my part, maybe just
trying to return the kind favour to you for the music and all the help
online through the forum.
Cheers!
Mark

I was looking for a topic to reply to and this one says it all. PT=Awesome. My package arrived today and I have already read the book and watched the DVD. Kirk, thank you again. This has provided me with the answers I have been so desperately seeking for years. Wonderfully put together! Where can I buy a the T-shirt?! Haha, but seriously, if you have some or ever make some I would love to buy one. I have already started passing the word along about PlaneTalk.

I have played guitar for 15 years on and off. I wanted to find a system to connect all I learnt into one. After 2 years of searching the internet for guitar books and browsing 100's of them, I finally found the one book that ties it all with one system - Planetalk.
My understanding of the guitar increased dramatically in just a few hours and the possibilities arising from this way of looking at music on the guitar are endless! Simplifying to one common denominator was really to key to understand the complex guitar 12 note offset repeating matrix arrangement.
This is surely the best Guitar book I ever owned, and probably the last I will ever buy.

Just a note to let you know how much I appreciate your Plane Talk package and this site. It is truly an inspirational and valued resource for someone like me who has pretty much tried it all. As I mentioned in an earlier email, music theory, as it relates to the guitar, leaves me....., well, it just leaves me. In just a couple of days, I have managed to get a good grasp of theory and have begun to put together some fundamental lead lines with basic chords. The concept is so simple, or at least you present the material in such a way that it becomes simple. I know there is a good deal of ground to cover yet, but I can at least see the map and the destination looks pretty good!
Thanks again for the effort that you put forth in creating Plane Talk and maintaining this site.

Greetings from Ontario Canada, I've been trolling through the message boards until my PT package arrived. After reading thru and watching the video, It was like talking to an old friend. Everything made perfect sense and all the things I have picked up here and there fit in the picture perfectly. Guitars are so different and very special. Kirk is a very special teacher. He has opened the steel vault door for his students. We all just need to walk through. Thank you Kirk......

I've got tons and tons of instructional material, but this one "clicked". I've been playing professionally in some capacity for years, but was beginning to accept that "I'm a composer, just not an improviser", because I couldn't get things to connect for me. Maybe it's the 5th on the bottom that firmly uprooted (pun intended) my stagnant approach to scales, but it's been nothing short of amazing for me.
Thanks,

The whole PT idea is so spectacularly right, simple and wonderful that complicating it seems so wrong. It is truly a brilliant concept and has improved my understanding of guitar playing beyond all recognition. I just can't thank you enough!

Hello everyone, I've been lurking in this forum for awhile enjoying the music and conversation and I finally completed my take on the Plane Talk Primer. I've been playing guitar for almost 30 years and I consider myself primarily a blues player. A couple of years ago I decided to study Jazz with the goal of being able to play through complex chord changes. While my knowledge of chords, scales, and modes is pretty good, I struggled mightily with playing through changes until I happened upon Kirk and the Plane Talk program several months ago. Plane Talk was a revelation and lifted the scales from my eyes.

I did my first read-through of Plane Talk and watched the video last
night. Super stuff - I am very impressed. Years ago I used to claim to
my AI students that intelligence was the ability to see differences
where others see sameness and to see sameness where others see
differences - that puts you off the scale in music IQ, I reckon.
